The year 2010 has been a great success for Audi, which has obtained a desirable rate of sales. The German manufacturer has sold exactly 1092.411 units, an achievement in present times, in the automotive sector not just through their best moment. This represents an increase of 15% over last year.

Have increased sales in the European market, American, and especially Chinese. In China the brand with the four rings has experienced spectacular growth of 43.4%. Anecdotally, it is said that one factor for success in China is their logo. How so? For the four rings, seen vertically forming two ‘eights’, considered a lucky number for its phonetic similarity with the word “enrichment”. And China is very superstitious society.

Audi’s operating profit in 2010 was of 3,340 million euros. Quite a record in a crisis. But the company is not resting on their laurels and aims to exceed 1.2 million cars sold in this cycle 2011. Have a good start, as soon as we have already sold 186,850 units, up 21% over the same period last year.

As part of Audi’s strategy to realize its global expansion plans, with a significant foray into minority markets such as India. These emerging media can be the key to its tremendous potential, and Audi is well aware.

Definitely one of the factors that has benefited Audi for their good sales, is its extension of models. And with the announced arrival of Q3, it will have one more, which together with the expected hybrid and electric, are sure to be key pieces to keep in clear, and perhaps unstoppable expansion.
