When some time ago Dany Bahar, CEO of Lotus, outlined his ambitious plan referred to the Lotus Evora, there were many who thought the task was not simple. Evora was destined (or should we say sentenced?) To give tough fight to rivals very complicated, including nothing more and nothing less than the Porsche Cayman. The mission, “charging” the Evora to the shoulder, was to get new customers for the legendary British brand and significantly increase the volume of sales of its models and all that was already something not easily accomplished.
Time has been going on and there have been regrettable ten long and painful years of losses (not only by the model Evora was born in 2008, also by others) constants for the cas, so continue the same way it was highly impractical.
The Lotus Evora plans were very ambitious (though not intemperate, of course) and even reached to raise the specific possibility that the order to have a convertible version, and going a bit further still, to position it as the model market prepared the way for the new Lotus Esprit.
Dany Bahar came to confirm from his own mouth all this during the development of the Barcelona Motor Show in 2009.
But now things have changed and the Lotus Evora has unfortunately defunsión date in advance, as it reports its production ending in 2013.
As discussed the circulation of Evora output could even be a time earlier than expected, but the only thing that stops (or can stop) the determination on the part of the English house is the inability to count on the automotive market with Elan models Esprit and ready for sale. If these two models will hit the streets in their new versions before 2013, almost certainly the Evora will be cut production ahead of schedule.
Thus the Evora is gradually leaving the scene, having allowed the luxury of admiring its beauty almost unsurpassed for a few years (the car was introduced in 2008 and began to be marketed in 2009), making way for new models house will also surely delight users.
Evora, a beautiful car, beautiful, highly advanced technology, runs his last, glorious stretches.
