The gaps in the National Traffic Code and the lack of updates on various aspects related to the development of the automotive industry continue to cause problems for drivers.
Now the objection of some authorities is the use of high performance lights, known in popular parlance as Xenon lights and is technically referred to as HID (High Intensity Discharge), which come as original factory equipment on modern cars.
Despite its proven benefits in road safety, far exceed the efficiency of conventional halogen lights and internationally and be approved by some authorities, without any technical background and knowing the processes of research and development of prestigious brands in the automotive industry in the world are talking about prohibition, creating great confusion among vehicle owners.
At least that is what many understood Germaine few days ago when Dario Geraldo, Legal Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Traffic Medallion, told several media outlets in that city that “the use of these lights is prohibited for all vehicles, except ambulances and emergency vehicles. So says the National Traffic Code (CNT) in section 131 literal C28, regulated by Resolution 3027 July 26, 2010. “Meanwhile, refers specifically to the HID lights, the Ministry of Transportation gave a rather ambiguous answer. What is clear is that the CNT does not say anything about it, showing its lag in the regulation of technology. (See what says the Ministry)
