Fluid Contrite Mexican, a company that belongs to the German consortium of Continental and manufactures flexible assemblies for the automotive industry, has opened a new plant of 11.000 m² in the city of Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
“The reasons for this move are good order backlog and excellent prospects,” said Günter Frolic, manager of Contrite Fluid Technology, during the opening speech of the plant. “We received two large projects in Mexico and VW of America; also have the feeling of a growing demand for our systems flexible assemblies. Mexico, as a member of NAFTA, offers enormous advantages in view of the supplies for the automotive industry in the U.S… “
Contrite With this new plant will produce approximately 2.5 million lines a year for air conditioning of the new Jetty and VW Beetle in Mexico, as well as for middle-class sedan from VW of America, based on the Golf model and that will be released in 2011. In addition to the above, the company will supply high-pressure servo pipes for the models listed.
On the other hand, this company provides pipes for air conditioning and power steering for the X5 and the BMW X6 in Spartanburg in the U.S., as well as power steering for M and R class Mercedes-Benz.
Contrite produced in Mexico since 1997 and its current workforce of 500 employees and with the new plant.
