Since 2008, Porsche is not present at the Detroit Motor Show and it is right now a more than valid reason for the German house in a big return to the U.S. sample. Rumors say (and have to give them due credit) Porsche has prepared a surprise for when you open the doors of the international fair. All will be revealed starting next January 10, 2011, but meanwhile it almost impossible not to ask the question: What surprise Porsche prepares for Detroit 2011?
Here is the question … I wish I knew today …
There are few who venture to guess, and various hypotheses. There are those who believe that the German firm will be showing the world a tremendous hybrid version of the Porsche Panamera and there are those who argue against all odds that the brand will present the model to replace the Porsche Boxster. But they are the only options, of course. We must also bear in mind the possibility that it presented a mid-engine GT and no shortage of those who talk about a presentation that is related to the Porsche Cajun.
For now, all assumptions and nothing else. The odds are starting to occur and the issue promises to shake up the nest and become one of the most attractive when it opens the Detroit Motor Show in a little while longer.
What is certain is that Porsche finally show something new in the United States, which incidentally, is the first individual market for the brand … not in vain for a quarter of total world production is shipped to be sold in the great north country. And if to demonstrate the importance of the U.S. automotive market in the actual history of Porsche takes more, so we just see some good numbers charts: in so far this year 2010 Porsche has sold in the United States nothing more less than 22,750 pieces, which means an improvement of 29% over the same period of time but the year 2009.
Now we just wait and see what surprise we have prepared Porsche Friends. We will have to be patient a few more days, on January 10 we will learn what it is.
