A fast diesel car over 400 km / h.
The current record speed of a motor vehicle diesel is 379.4 km / h for three decades. Soon breaks the mark with the vehicle Dieselmax Andy Green driving, speed racing legend considered the fastest man in the world. The journalist Raul Madrid Toledano JCB reported that a test developed in England to break the record for 33 years with a diesel engine.
The proof was in the U.S. in Bonneville, Utah. Sought to achieve 300 miles per hour, about 480 miles of speed. The special vehicle has two engines puedn develop 1500 horsepower, 50% higher than achieved in Formula 1. The test was in August 2006 at the Bonneville Salt Flats, instead of trying to break speed records in wheeled vehicles.
August 12 began the first tests. They calculated that with an output of 750 hp could surpass the record speed of 379.4 km / h. The Dieselmax that development should achieve power. Several elements are involved and must be adjusted, such as tires, chassis, aerodynamics and brakes, combined with high engine power. Project manager is Tim Leverton. Tried to avoid the smoke trail of environmental pollution.
Used a particle filter for the speed does not conflict with the environment. Few years ago, the pilot Andy Green got chosen speed 1227.99 miles per hour. Maybe this time the test will be a breeze.
