Among the useful features include a cargo area floor configurations adaptable to many U-shaped rail, waterproof storage space beneath the floor and a programmable power tailgate.
New Saab 9-5 SportCombi
The new Wagon has the same range of turbo engines, gasoline, ethanol and diesel to the 9-5 Sedan, and includes the all-wheel drive Saab XWD and advanced features such as adaptive chassis control DriveSense Saab, cruise control, intelligent lighting system Smart Beam Bi-Xenon, keyless access and starting, tri-zone climate control and a HUD (Head Up Display) projects information on the windshield in the style of combat aircraft.
The cargo area is fully carpeted and optimized for maximum space and ease of use. The 60/40 rear seats fold almost completely without having to remove the headrests or change the position of the bench. The careful work of soundproofing the back attenuates noise, vibration and resonance for the occupants to enjoy an indoor comfort level similar to that of Sedan.
With the seatbacks folded, the cargo deck is almost two meters long (1,962 mm) and provides an adaptable carrying capacity up to 1,600 liters (527 liters with the seats down). The side walls are completely flat and vertical, creating a clean and open, without any obstacles behind the wheel arches. Are offered as standard in the side compartments for storing small items, four hooks on the ground to secure the load and a power of 12 volts.
Available as an option, a U-shaped rail on the ground gives more flexibility to load configuration. Like the 9-5 sedan, the telescopic rail allows you to split the cargo space to be safely loaded objects of different sizes.
The soil, with a loop with the logo of Saab as the aircraft, it folds in multiple steps to access the storage area under the floor. When folded twice leads to an additional storage compartment for cars equipped with tire repair kits instead of spare wheel. You can extract a support arm to keep the soil in a fixed position. This provides further support for the items stored in the hollow below ground, as a flexible alternative to the use of full cargo deck.
The bottom floor has two attachments to save the Rail U. It also has hooks that can be used to organize exchanges. An impermeable plastic, which is optional, can be installed to provide a waterproof storage area for sports equipment, wet or muddy boots.
When incorporating spare wheel, it is covered by a flat surface and get a sub-soil of 65 mm below ground level, ideal for hosting small or flat objects. For convenience, the tailgate opens and closes by remote control. You can open or close completely through a knob on the driver’s door or the button on the car key.
